Filipino Famine Foundation

In order to fight famine in the Philippines, the Filipino Famine Foundation’s job is to send supplies to those in need. This is a made up company, and this is a school project.

Process

After doing research on many different topics, I got the most inspiration from the different national symbols of the Philippines, such as mangoes, rice fields, and the sun from the flag. The ultimate symbol that I used was the national fish of the Philippines: Milkfish.

Another main inspiration was old Filipino script called Baybayin, which plays into the shape of the final logo.

Below are many different sketches I made to achieve the final shape.

Final

Besides the final logo, I created some illustrated mockups that utilize the final logo, and I also made a physical business card that is wrapped with a red mesh that represents fishing, and how milkfish is caught.
